Yellow flowers with a black center. Eyebright is a member of the figwort family and can be found in grasslands and meadows in Europe. Its Latin name Euphrasia officinales comes from the Greek word euphrosyne which means" good cheer.
Take internally (capsules, tea, tincture) for sinusitis, allergies, hayfever with itchy eyes and to heal eye ailments.
Eyebright can be used as an eyewash for irritated or infected eyes. Apply externally for eye weakness and sore burning eyes. Part used: Entire plant.
