Take internally (dried root, liquid extract, capsules, tablets) for coughs, colds, menstrual irregulation, colic, heartburn (take 1 - 2 chewable tablets 20 minutes before meals), menopause, hepatitis, cirrhosis and to reduce pain from ulcers. Licorice can also neutralize liver toxins. Apply externally for eczema, psoriasis, shingles and herpes sores. Licorice candy does not contain Licorice.
