This perennial herb, also known as Soldier's Herb, is native to Europe and western Asia. Yarrow has feathery leaves with white or pink small flowers in little bunches and it can grow up to three feet tan and two feet wide. The flowers appear from summer to fall..

Yarrow is easy to grow from seeds. Grow the herb in a sunny location in fairly rich, well-drained soil Harvest the leaves as needed and the flowers when they are fully open.

Take internally (dried herb, tincture, capsules, tablets) for digestive disorders, anxiety, insomnia, high blood pressure, colitis, colds, fever, sore throats, infections, gas and diarrhea.

Yarrow helps rid the body of toxins. Since Yarrow contains sterols it can help to regulate the menstrual cycle.

Apply externaIly (oil) for hemorrhages, migraine (add a few drops of oil to a compress and apply it to your forehead), work for rashes, bruises, chapped lips, burns and bleeding problems.

Yarrow can also help reduce scars and stretch marks. Just rub a few drops of yarrow oil on the affected area every day. There are many ways you can enjoy yarrow. Add young leaves to salads and cheeses. Parts used: Flower tops, leaves and stems..
